A beautiful, young independent European country. Rich historic heritage from the time o Kyivan Rus, a great number of architectural and cultural monuments make our country very attractive for tourists, Ukraine is a country in south-eastern Europe, the second largest of the continent after Russia, and one of the most populous in Europe. Its history spans more than a thousand years. For several centuries it had stayed under Russia's domination and regained independence in 1991.
Ukraine is bordered by Belarus on the north, by Russia on the north, north-east and east, by the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea on the south, by Moldova and Romania on the south-west, and by Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland on the west.

Population: 54mln(1998) Ukraine is divided into 24 provinces and the Crimea which has a degree of autonomy.

of quarantine concern Strict laws prohibit the entry of drugs, weapons and firearms There are no limits on the amount of foreign cash that may be brought into or taken out of Ukraine However it should be declared.
- Health The visitors will he recommended to sign an Insurance agreement at the beginning of their lour.
- Money Changing foreign currency or travellers' cheques can be done at most hanks and currency exchange points.
- Weights and Measures Ukraine uses metric system of weights and measures Speed and distance are measured in kilometers, goods in kilograms and liters, temperature in Celsius (Centigrade).
- Visa To obtain visa you should contact your nearest Ukrainian Consulate.
- Transport If you travel by air you will air to Borispol airport (Kiev) If you go by a coach or train to Kiev. From Kiev you will be taken by our representative to the starting point of your lour by bus or by train.
